We can see that the number of sales for July are a bit lower but that is not a surprise during the Summer months!
Real estate is put on the back burner while people prepare for camping trips, holidays, or doing work in and around the house.

The good news is that the sale price slightly went up by 0.2% from June 2026 to July 2026, and the average days on market dropped by 6.7% (down from 45 days in June to 42 days in July).
This shows that when properties are priced correctly, they are moving!
We have also seen that the Bank of Canada announced on July 15 that they are once again holding the overnight lending rate at a steady 2.25%; the sixth month in a row now.
