I love sharing local events in the Niagara Region; there is always so much to do here!
This Saturday, on August 15th, the Port Dalhousie SummerFest 2026 is taking place.
From 12PM to 10PM, there will be live music, historic displays, local vendors, food trucks, a bouncy castle, movie at dusk, and
so much more!

Here are a few quick historical facts about Port Dalhousie!
It was founded in 1826 by Nathan Pawling, who pulled together several parcels of land.
He placed an ad in the newspaper to attract new people to live in the community that he called “Port Dalhousie”.
Pawling realized the importance of the Welland Canal which would soon be built;

He named the new community after The 9th Earl of Dalhousie, who was the Governour in Chief of British North America at that time.

See you at 1 Lakeport Road this Saturday!!
